Terms of Service

Build What You Want ("we", "us", "BWYW") designs and develops custom websites, mobile applications, and digital products for small businesses and entrepreneurs. We may approach you proactively with a completed preview of your business's site, or you may request a custom build through our website.

Preview sites are built speculatively and presented to prospective clients. A preview does not constitute a purchase or commitment. Previews expire 14 days from first access (the same window as our money-back guarantee). We reserve the right to repurpose or delete unpurchased previews after expiration. No business name or branding used in a preview grants the recipient any intellectual property rights until a purchase is completed.

All prices are listed in USD. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. By completing a purchase you authorize the stated charge to your card. The 6-month installment plan has no added cost. The 12-month plan adds 20% to the total; the 24-month plan adds 30%. The exact dollar amount added is shown on each plan card at checkout before you commit. The base purchase includes a custom domain, SSL, basic SEO setup, and your first month of hosting. After the first month, $25/mo is automatically billed for ongoing site care (uptime, SSL renewal, security patches, monthly performance checks). The $25/mo hosting may be cancelled at any time — your site goes offline and the source code remains yours. Add-on services are billed once at the time of purchase. Other recurring add-ons (e.g., AI assistant, monthly content updates) are billed monthly and may be cancelled with 30 days' written notice. Standard delivery for a purchased website is within 48–72 hours of completed payment. Complex builds, mobile applications, or custom software projects will have timelines communicated in writing at time of purchase. Timelines are estimates and not guarantees. We will notify you promptly of any delays.

Each purchase includes one round of revisions communicated within 14 days of delivery. Additional revision rounds are billed at our standard hourly rate. Upon full payment, you own the final design and content of your site. We retain the right to display completed work in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing.

The $197 down payment is fully refundable within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. After 14 days the down payment is non-refundable, but you retain full rights to the site we built and may cancel future scheduled payments at any time before they process. If we are unable to deliver your project within the agreed timeline, you are entitled to a full refund regardless of timing. Add-on services that have been implemented are non-refundable. We may use stock assets, open-source libraries, and third-party tools in building your project. All third-party assets are either licensed for commercial use or open-source. We do not use AI-generated imagery in client deliverables without disclosure. You are responsible for providing accurate business information and ensuring you have rights to any logos, photos, or content you supply to us.

Build What You Want is not liable for lost revenue, data loss, or business interruption arising from use of any deliverable. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question. These terms do not affect statutory rights you may have under applicable law.

We may update these terms as our business evolves. Active clients will be notified of material changes by email. Continued use of our services after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The current version is always available at buildwhatyouwant.com/terms.
