Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026 · buildwhatyouwant.com

Build What You Want is a boutique web and app studio. We build custom digital products for local businesses and handle your information with care. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how.

01

What We Collect

When you enter your preview PIN, we log the access time. When you submit the build request form, we collect your business name, industry, city, email address, and optional phone number. When you complete a purchase, payment information is processed directly by Stripe — we never store card numbers or financial data on our servers.

02

How We Use It

Your information is used solely to build and deliver your website, communicate with you about your project status, and send your preview link and account setup email. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

03

Preview Links & PINs

Your 6-digit preview code is unique to your business. It is shared only with the person or business it was built for. Preview links expire 14 days after they are first generated. Unclaimed previews are removed from our systems after 60 days.

04

Cookies & Analytics

We use minimal session cookies required for the site to function. We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Plausible or Fathom) to understand aggregate traffic patterns. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

05

Data Retention

Lead and project data is retained for up to 2 years or until you request deletion. After your site goes live, your build request details are archived. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.

06

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. To make a request, email hello@buildwhatyouwant.com with the subject "Data Request." We will respond within 5 business days.
